A regular annual meeting was held at the premises of the City Administration of the City of Kruševac on September 24th, 2019, attended by representatives of KfW of the German Development Bank, Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Gauff Consultants, as well as representatives of the City Administration of the City of Kruševac and PUC "Vodovod "Kruševac". The meeting was opened by Deputy Mayor Vesna Živadinović - Lazarević.

The purpose of this meeting is to report on the progress regarding the implementation of the Program "Water Supply and Sewerage in Medium-sized Municipalities in Serbia - II, III / IV and V". As a reminder, works on the construction of the Wastewater Treatment Plant began in May 2018 and are progressing as planned. The Project envisages the capacity of the Waste Water Treatment Plant to be 526 liters per second, and to construct 42 facilities at this Site. The Project Documentation envisages that the Plant will operate for a minimum of 90 000 ES. The construction of the Wastewater Collection and Treatment Plant will permanently solve the problem of wastewater treatment. After the treatment at the WWTP, the treated water will be discharged into the recipient river West Morava. The Project envisages that the quality of the treated wastewater meets the standards required by the Regulation on limit values ​​for the emission of pollutants into the water, as well as the European Council Directive on wastewater treatment (CounsilDirective 91/271 / EC).

The KfW German Development Bank delegation was represented by Ms. Sabrina Behr, project manager, Mr. Manfred Molitor, competent engineer, and Ms. Brankica Dajić, project coordinator. After the meeting, Director of Public Utility Company "Vodovod-Kruševac" Vladimir Milosavljević informed the members of the above mentioned delegation about the dynamics and scope of the works performed at the Site of WWTP.

The value of the Plant is EUR 14 million, while the total value of the Wastewater Collection, Discharge and Treatment Project is EUR 24 million. The funds were provided from a loan from the German development bank KfW, and the repayment period is 12 years. The investment is carried out under the supervision of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure. Of the total loan amount, 95 percent of the funds are repaid by the Government of the Republic of Serbia, and the rest by PUC "Vodovod - Kruševac".
